Excellence in Climate Adaptation
9 and 14 November 2017 | Bonn, Germany
The Global Centre of Excellence on Climate Adaptation (GCECA) is an initiative of the government of the Netherlands, National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) supported by the Japan Ministry of the Environment, and UN Environment. The mission of the GCECA is to accelerate climate adaptation by recognising, building and promoting excellence among all relevant groups of stakeholders around the world. Two events at COP23 will be centered around the GCECA. On Thursday, 9 November, a side event titled “What is Excellence in Climate Adaptation?” will focus on how the GCECA aims to address excellence in climate adaptation, and how it intends to accelerate climate adaptation. On Tuesday, 14 November, the GCECA High-level launch event will be held. |
