The Major Groups and Stakeholders Preparatory Meeting begins at the UNEP Headquarters, Nairobi

IPCC-43 will take place at the UNEP Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya

The Forty-Third session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-43) will convene in Nairobi, Kenya, from 11-13 April 2016. At this session, the IPCC will consider a variety of reports, including on the status of establishing Technical Support Units (TSUs) and the outcomes of intersessional meetings. The meeting is also expected to address follow-up to the Twenty-first Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) (COP 21) as well as Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) products, such as special reports.

Other items on the agenda for IPCC-43 include: the update of methodologies on national greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories; the future of the Task Group on Data and Scenario Support for Impact and Climate Analysis (TGICA); communications for AR6; the IPCC library facility; the IPCC scholarship programme; and the decision pathway for consideration of requests for access to information or meetings.
