The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has been established by WMO and UNEP to assess scientific, technical and socio- economic information relevant for the understanding of climate change, its potential impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation. The IPCC is open to all Members of the UN and of WMO.

The IPCC Working Group I contribution to the Fourth Assessment Report, "Climate Change 2007: The Physical Science Basis" will be subject to final approval and acceptance at the 10th Working Group I Session to be held in Paris from 29 January to 1 February 2007.

The IPCC AR4 WGI Summary for Policymakers, "Climate Change 2007: The Physical Science Basis" has been approved in Paris, at 22h35, Thursday, 1 February.

The Earth Negotiations Bulletin summary of the meeting will be available on this web site on Sunday, 4 February 2007.

The Summary for Policy Makers will be officially presented on Friday, 2 February 2007, at 9:30 a.m. Central.
