HIGHLIGHTS: Friday, 4 June
Today at the International Conference on Renewable Energy,
Ministerial Panels discussed energy services and the Millennium
Development Goals, and the contribution of renewable energy
in meeting the climate challenge. During the closing session,
Mohamed El-Ashry, Conference Facilitator, presented the conference
outcomes, including the International Action Programme and
political declaration. Closing addresses were given by renewables2004
Co-chairs Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul and Jürgen Trittin.
