G-STIC A Global Sustainable, Technology & Innovation Conference (G-STIC) special event will take place on 7 June 2018, in New York, US. The objective of G-STIC is to accelerate technological innovation to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Convening in the context of the UN’s third annual Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (STI Forum), taking place from 5-6 June, the G-STIC Special Event is expected to:

  • Share the key messages of the first G-STIC conference, which convened in Brussels, Belgium, in October 2017, and identify concrete policy options to advance sustainable technological transitions towards the SDGs;
  • Showcase and assess market-ready and scalable examples of integrated technological solutions that can contribute to the SDGs; and
  • Help define the content and process of G-STIC 2018, taking place in Brussels, Belgium, in November 2018.

IISD Reporting Services, through its ENB+ Meeting Coverage, has provided a briefing note and a video from the G-STIC Special Event. The briefing note is now available in HTML and PDF.
