Saturday, 17 January 2015
IPBES-3 convened on Saturday, 17 January 2015, for its final day of deliberations. During the stock-taking plenary in the morning, Co-Chairs of the contact groups on work programme and rules of procedure reported that they had completed their work. The contact groups on the budget and communications and stakeholder engagement strategies met straight after plenary to conclude their work.
During the closing plenary in the afternoon, delegates adopted decisions on the work programme, including scoping documents for assessments; rules of procedure, including conflict of interest; the budget; and the communications and stakeholder engagement strategies. Following closing statements, Chair Zakri closed the meeting at 7:12 pm.

Tuesday, 13 January 2015
IPBES-3 resumed its discussions on Tuesday, 13 January 2015, in Bonn, Germany. In the morning, delegates continued discussions on the task forces on knowledge and data, and Indigenous and local knowledge (ILK) systems, and on budget issues. Delegates also heard a briefing from Rajendra Pachauri, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Chair.
Throughout the day delegates discussed implementation of the work programme, including scoping documents for assessments, guides on assessments and preliminary guides on the conceptualization of values. Delegates also considered rules of procedure and the communications and stakeholder engagement strategies in the afternoon.
The budget contact group met during lunch. The contact groups on the work programme and rules of procedures met during the evening.

Monday, 12 January 2015
IPBES-3 opened on Monday, 12 January 2015, in Bonn, Germany. In the morning, delegates heard opening statements from dignitaries, regional groups and multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs) and discussed: organizational matters; membership of the Platform; credentials; and reports from the IPBES Executive Secretary Anne Larigauderie and Multidisciplinary Expert Panel (MEP) members on implementing the work programme 2014–2018.
In the afternoon, delegates resumed their discussions on implementing the work progamme, and deliberated on the task forces on capacity-building, knowledge and data and indigenous and local knowledge systems (ILK).
Delegates were invited to attend an evening reception hosted by the Government of Germany.
