CIF PARTNERSHIP FORUM CONVENES IN MANILA
Manila, 20 March—The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) held several back-to-back meetings from 15-19 March 2010, in Manila, the Philippines, hosted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), where plans were unveiled to mobilize some US$40 billion for country-led low carbon growth. The series of meetings included a meeting of the CIF Partnership Forum, meetings of CIF committees and subcommittees, and a roundtable with NGOs. More.

PREPARATORY MEETING DISCUSSES AGENDA FOR REVIEW CONFERENCE OF THE UN FISH STOCKS AGREEMENT
New York, 18 March—The Ninth Round of Informal Consultations of States Parties (ICSP 9) to the Agreement for the Implementation of the Provisions of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) relating to the Conservation and Management of Straddling Fish Stocks and Highly Migratory Fish Stocks (UN Fish Stocks Agreement) took place on 16-17 March 2010, at UN Headquarters in New York, US. ICSP 9 was convened to serve as a preparatory meeting for the resumed Review Conference on the Fish Stocks Agreement, scheduled to take place at the same venue from 24-28 May 2010. At the conclusion of the meeting, most participants appeared satisfied with their achievements, pointing to the general approval given to the resumed Review Conference's proposed organization of work and agenda, as well as fruitful discussions on Conference outputs and possible future actions beyond May 2010.
