Anna Dubrova

Anna Dubrova is a Writer with the Earth Negotiations Bulletin and an independent consultant specializing in global environmental governance of chemicals and waste. A Ukrainian national, she is now based in the Greater Boston area in the US. Since joining ENB in 2019, Anna has covered meetings on chemicals and waste, sustainable development, the ozone layer, climate change, and science-policy interface. 

Anna is also a PhD candidate in Global Governance and Human Security at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where her research focuses on international institutions and their role in building national capacities for multilateral environmental agreements (MEA) implementation. As a consultant, she has worked with several intergovernmental entities, including the UN Environment Programme and the Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm (BRS) Conventions Secretariat on projects related to MEA implementation, financing, and capacity building.

Before starting her PhD in Boston, Anna got her LL.M. at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and Mykolas Romeris University.
