Gabriella Boger Prado

Gabriella is a writer for the Earth Negotiations Bulletin team and a PhD candidate in Private International Law at Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris 2) in France. She joined ENB in 2023. 

Gabriella is a Brazilian citizen who currently resides in France and works as a lecturer in International Private Law and Civil Law at Universités Panthéon-Sorbonne and Panthéon-Assas. Throughout her career, she has conducted research and held fellowships at esteemed institutions such as the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Law and Private International Law in Hamburg, Germany, the University of Lucern in Switzerland, and the Universidad de Buenos Aires in Argentina. Her research focuses on the application of private law and private international law to help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

In addition to her academic work, Gabriella has served as a qualified attorney in Brazil and France. She has also contributed her expertise to international organizations such as the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) in Rome and the Regional Center for Asia and the Pacific of the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL-RCAP) in Incheon, Republic of Korea. Her projects have focused on agriculture and commercial law. 

Gabriella holds a master's degree in international law with a specialization in Private International Law and International Commercial law from Université Panthéon-Assas. She also has a bachelor's degree from the University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), Brazil.
