Kate Harris
Team Leader, Writer, and Editor
Kate Harris is a Team Leader and Writer with the Earth Negotiations Bulletin and the award-winning author of Lands of Lost Borders, a nature/travel memoir about a long bike ride along the Silk Road. A Canadian with a passion for wilderness conservation across borders, she has covered CITES, CMS, Ramsar, and related biodiversity processes for over a decade since joining ENB as a Writer and Digital Editor in 2009.
A Rhodes scholar and Morehead-Cain scholar, she has a BSc in Biology (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), an MPhil in the History of Science, Technology, and Medicine (University of Oxford), and an SM in Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences (MIT). When not traveling the world for ENB, or spending time in Toronto for her partner's job, she lives off-grid in a log cabin on Taku River Tlingit territory in Atlin, British Columbia.
