Pauliina is an environmental specialist with over 15 years of diverse experience. As an independent consultant she has focused on research, policy and programmatic work related to integrated landscape governance, agroecology and sustainable food systems, and the links between land degradation, climate change, and conflicts.
Earlier, she worked with the United Nations in Kenya, Liberia, and Switzerland across different topics, including the nexus between biodiversity conservation and local livelihoods development, transparent resource governance in conflict contexts, and green economy. Prior to joining the UN, she managed environmental consulting projects in Finland.
She holds two Master’s degrees, one in Environmental Economics from the University of Helsinki, and another in Biodiversity, Wildlife and Ecosystem Health from the University of Edinburgh.
