31st UN-Water Meeting
The 31st UN-Water Meeting discussed progress on and next steps for joint initiatives that UN-Water Members and Partners have undertaken to ensure that the UN is “delivering as one” to address global water challenges. Many of the initiatives discussed during this meeting, which took place immediately prior to World Water Week 2019, will contribute to implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with particular emphasis on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 (clean water and sanitation).

7th Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD-7)
ARFSD 7 adopted the “Brazzaville Declaration”, and a summary report articulating African priorities, policy options and recommendations for the regions input to the 2021 HLPF.
UN Science-Policy-Business Forum on the Environment (2021)
Delegates from the private sector, civil society, and government met to address issues such as artificial intelligence for environmental action, pollution prevention and management, and integrated solutions for low-carbon, resource-efficient, inclusive societies. The outcomes will inform discussions at UNEA-5.
