Marrakech Climate Change Conference - November 2016
The Marrakech Climate Change Conference COP 22 was perceived to have two tasks. To the outside world, delegates had to demonstrate the UNFCCC could contribute to the momentum generated post-Paris by the actions of non-state actors, as well as other international processes. Internally, delegates had considerable technical work at hand, to build a foundation for the accelerated completion of the modalities, procedures and guidelines that will make the Paris Agreement implementable.

Delegates considered 90 agenda items and 62 species-listing proposals submitted by 64 countries. Taking place in the shadow of the historic COP 21, the Bonn gathering was a low-profile meeting with an ambitious agenda aimed at rapidly taking up the technical work needed to operationalize the Paris Agreement.
Fiji / Bonn Climate Change Conference - November 2017
The COP launched the Talanoa Dialogue, a facilitative dialogue to take stock of collective progress towards the Paris Agreement’s long-term goals. COP 23 also established the “Fiji Momentum for Implementation,” a decision giving prominence to pre-2020 implementation and ambition. Parties also provided guidance on the completion of the PAWP and decided that the Adaptation Fund shall serve the Paris Agreement, subject to decisions to be taken by CMA 1-3.
43rd Session of the IPCC (IPCC-43)
The IPCC agreed to undertake three special reports on: the impacts of global warming of 1.5°C above preindustrial levels and related global GHG emission pathways; climate change, desertification, land degradation, sustainable land management, food security and GHG fluxes in terrestrial ecosystems; and on climate change and oceans and the cryosphere.
