4th Global Session of the of the UN Science-Policy-Business Forum on the Environment (UN-SPBF 2022)
Faced with the triple crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution, participants addressed a range of issues dealing with multilateralism, including climate change, and future economic frameworks, before turning to issues that affect the daily fabric of our lives—technology, fashion, and supply chains. Leaders also shared share their vision for Stockholm+100.

Island Values, Local Knowledge, Global Solutions

On 27 September, the Global Island Partnership (GLISPA) convened a high level event aimed at catalysing partnerships for implementation of the SDGs.
During the event, the Local2030 Islands Network was launched to accelerate action on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Led by islands for islands, the Local2030 Islands Network will serve as the platform to recognize and accelerate island-led SDG implementation as part of the UN Local2030 partnership. The Local2030 Islands Network aims to catalyze local implementation of the SDGs, connecting communities with the global effort to advance the SDGs.
Founding partners and supporters of the Local2030 Islands Network include the Republic of Seychelles, Republic of Marshall Islands, Grenada, Belize, Curacao, Ireland, Hawai‘i, Guam, UN Development Programme, UN-Habitat, the Global Island Partnership, Hawai‘i Green Growth, and the UN Foundation.
