This one day meeting, bringing over 150 private sector leaders together with government and civil society, saw lively exchanges on how to advance a green structural transformation in a way that leaves no nation behind. Topics included financing for green infrastructure, coherent policies, circular economy opportunities and digital infrastructure.

Delegates focused on the role of indigenous peoples and local communities and addressed links between nature and culture for the development of the post-2020 framework. Delegates also addressed the scientific and technical base of the post-2020 framework.

As host to ICCM5 and exploring the theme "United for a fair and chemical safe future," Germany opened its pavilion's week of events that connect chemicals to climate, agriculture, labor, human rights, and economics, among other issues.

Panelists focused on recent research on lead, cadmium, asbestos, and nitrogen dioxide (NO2)—just five out of the thousands of chemicals with tremendous health, economic, and environmental impacts.
