The side event, “Enhancing Capacity through the Capacity-building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT),” took place on Wednesday, 15 November 2017, during the Fiji / Bonn Climate Change Conference (COP23). It was organized by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
The CBIT trust fund, established and operated by the GEF, aims to help developing countries meet their reporting requirements on climate action under the Paris Agreement. Three countries, South Africa, Papua New Guinea, and Chile, share their experiences with CBIT-supported projects. Japan announces a new partnership to support climate-action innovation by local governments and the private sector.
Produced by Teya Penniman and filmed/edited by Felipe Ruiz.
