This video explores e-mobility, faced with the fact that by 2050, the number of vehicles on the road is set to double to 2.5 billion. Most of this growth will take place in developing countries, where air pollution is already a major challenge, in many cities. The new GEF e-Mobility Global Programme focuses on decarbonizing transport by rolling out a range of electric vehicles. GEF will start off by helping 17 developing countries to put in place policies aimed at, supporting technology transfer, engaging the private sector, and accessing finance.
