On Wednesday, 12 July 2017, during the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York, a side event, ‘G-STIC 2017: Technological solutions for the SDGs,’ was presented at the Belgium Mission to the UN. The side event brought together policy makers, scientists and the private sector to explore integrated technologies solutions that could potentially have a large impact on the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the climate change goals, and contribute to a systemic change.
This video by IISD Reporting Services provides an overview of the side event, which also looked forward to the 2017 Global Science, Technology & Innovation Conference (G-STIC 2017), which is the first in a series of Global Science, Technology & Innovation Conferences and is taking place from 23-25 October 2017 in Brussels, Belgium.
