Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Carol Browner said that much has been accomplished since Rio and we must remember that we are all in this together for the long term. She said that achieving sustainable development requires changes in the way that governments, NGOs and the private sector relate to one another. She spoke of the new US CSD, which will assist in the development of new strategies to address these issues. She assured the developing world that the US was listening, particularly on capacity building and resource mobilization.
