A BRIEF ANALYSIS OF THE ICPD

The International Conference on Population and Development is now history. The Cairo International Conference Center is no longer buzzing with activity. The NGO Forum has packed up and moved out. Life in Cairo will continue on as before delegates from over 180 countries descended on the Nile Valley. Now, as participants and observers have a chance to look back on the Conference, it is time to assess the Conference's accomplishments, shortcomings and the challenge for the future.
