B. INVOLVEMENT OF CIVIL SOCIETY:
This section outlines the
actions required to strengthen civil society, which include: supporting the creation and
involvement of community organizations; supporting capacity-building programmes;
and providing resources. The section also highlights the actions needed to enhance the
contribution of civil society to social development, which include: facilitating of
partnerships with government; stimulating private investment in social development;
and encouraging the participation of trade unions, farmers and cooperatives. No
brackets remain in this section.
