WORLD BANK:
The representative of the World Bank said that
through its operational assistance to its member countries, it is
working to support government efforts in ten thousand urban areas
around the world. Poverty alleviation should be a priority and,
given the financial pressures facing all governments, there is an
urgent need to mobilize local communities to solve their own
problems.
