the Priorities of Action formulated in 1994 to answer to new challenges
that have surfaced since then.

Bengtsson, Sweden, in his presentation noted recommendations regarding: harmonization of principles, the need to perform 1000
risk assessments with the involvement of developing countries; and
the need for a procedure in FORUM IV.

WWF held a
Luncheon Panel concerning "Multi-Stakeholder Success Stories:
Sustainable Alternatives to Toxic Chemicals". The panel highlighted
four successful partnerships addressing medical waste in India, cotton
production in Benin, eco-labeling and bananas in Latin America
and pollution prevention in Massachusetts, USA. Clifton Curtis of
WWF moderated the event.
