INDONESIA:
Witjaksana Soegarda raised the following issues
that should be incorporated into the document: the primary focus
should be on people; the relationship between rapid population
growth and poverty; the differences in the level of social,
economic and cultural development in each country; community
participation at the grassroots level; and capacity building and
human resources development. The 20-year goals should encompass
population growth, maternal and infant mortality, literacy, life
expectancy, gender equality, and the availability and access to a
full range of modern and safe family planning services.
