NIGERIA:
The delegate from Nigeria said that to be viable
and relevant, the final document must be realistic, pragmatic,
action-oriented and implementable. Emphasis needs to be placed on
the linkage between poverty reduction and structural adjustment
programmes, as well as between rural development and sustained
economic growth. The issue of resource allocation should be
adequately addressed in all its ramifications. The chapters on
international cooperation and follow-up need to be strengthened.
