 On Friday, 13 November 2009 the Executive Committee (EXCO) convened in plenary during the seventh ordinary session of the seventh African Ministers’ Council on Water (AMCOW-7). Members honored AMCOW’s pioneers including, inter alia, Maria Mutagamba, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, UNEP, AfDB, UNESCO, WMO, Senegal, Kenya and South Africa.
The seventh general session introduced the new EXCO, and handed over the AMCOW Presidency to Buyelwa Sonjica, South Africa’s Minister for Water Affairs and the Environment. The meeting was gaveled to a close at 3.27pm.
