The 2nd Wildlife Forum will take place on 21 November 2018 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, on the sidelines of the 14th Conference of the Parties (COP14) to the Convention on Biodiversity (CBD).
Organized by the Collaborative Partnership on Sustainable Wildlife Management and the African Union Commission under the theme “Sustainable Use for Conservation and Livelihoods,” the Forum aims to:
- Stimulate discussions and highlight priorities to increase participation by indigenous peoples and local communities in the conservation, sustainable use, and management of wildlife;
- Raise awareness of models and approaches for achieving sustainable use of wildlife;
- Define priorities on sustainable wildlife management for post-2020.
