The twenty-second meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA) of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) will be held in Montreal, Canada, from 2-7 July 2018. It will be followed by the second meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI) from 9-13 July 2018. SBSTTA 22 and SBI 2 are expected to prepare recommendations for the consideration of the CBD Conference of the Parties at its fourteenth meeting, as well as by the Conference of the Parties serving as the third meeting of the parties to the Nagoya Protocol on access and benefit-sharing and the ninth meeting of the parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, which will convene in November 2018.
