CITES The sixty-ninth meeting of the Standing Committee of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES SC69) will meet in Geneva, Switzerland from 27 November-1 December 2017.

During CITES SC69, participants will consider, in addition to procedural and administrative matters: compliance and enforcement matters; implementation of the Convention relating to captive-bred and ranched specimens, including Asian big cats in captivity; introduction from the sea; identification of specimens in trade; cheetahs; eels; malagasy ebonies; sharks and rays; elephants; implementing aspects of Resolution Conf. 10.10 (Rev. CoP17) on the closure of domestic ivory markets; Asian big cats; pangolins; African lion; queen conch; and review of Resolution Conf. 10.9 on Consideration of proposals for the transfer of African elephant populations from Appendix I to Appendix II.
