CIF 2012 Partnership Forum and Associated EventsThe Climate Investment Funds (CIF) 2012 Partnership Forum finished its work on 7 November in Istanbul, Turkey. The Forum is being co-hosted by the CIF and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). In the morning, parallel sessions were held to address: making big investments work in renewable energy in the context of sustainable energy for all; enabling private sector investments; sustainable cities; and measuring results and impacts of projects. This was followed by two sessions - on civil society participation in the CIFs, and on hydrometeorological and climate services - in the afternoon. During the closing session, participants heard reports from various panel sessions and the address by Turkey's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz. The meeting drew to a close at 6:00 pm.
