The Joint Ceremony of Osaka Day and Water and Cities of the 3rd World Water Forum was held in Osaka. Dialogues opened in Osaka on Water and Cities, Water and Information, Groundwater, and Public Private Partnerships. Participants at the Forum sessions in Kyoto heard presentations and wrap-up plenaries on Water, Nature and Environment, Water, Food and Environment, and Water and Transport. The Youth World Water Forum was held, and the Regional Day addressed the Americas.

Photo: Anna Kajumulo Tibaijuka, Executive Director of UN-HABITATA and Asian Development Bank President Tadao Chino signed a memorandum of understanding on the Asian Cities Partnership, which will bring millions of dollars to Asian cities to support the achievement of the water and sanitation-related Millenium Development Goals
