Sunday, 11 January 2015

The Stakeholder Days prior to the third session of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES-3) concluded on Sunday, 11 January 2015 at the World Conference Centre in Bonn. Two panel sessions convened to discuss messages to IPBES-3 based on highlights from the work of IPBES and experiences in stakeholder engagement under the IPBES task forces. Participants continued discussions in five break out groups on: the proposed stakeholder engagement strategy; stakeholder coordination at IPBES-3; inter-sessional work; concrete stakeholder contributions to the IPBES deliverables; and how to address conflict of interest procedures.

During the closing session, participants agreed to continue consultations during IPBES-3 to ensure a high profile for stakeholder issues.
