On 16-17 March, delegates met at UN Headquarters in New York for the ninth round of informal consultations of States parties to the “Agreement for the Implementation of the Provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982 relating to the Conservation and Management of Straddling Fish Stocks and Highly Migratory Fish Stocks” (also known as the “UN Fish Stocks Agreement”).

The event focused on preparations for resumed Review Conference on the UN Fish Stocks Agreement, which is taking place from 24-28 May 2010, also in New York.

Delegates at ICSP 9 consider the agenda item on future actions, including possible meetings of the Review Conference after May 2010, and future informal consultations.
