On Saturday, 5 December 2015, a side event organized by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) highlighted initiatives between the European Union and the GCC on economic diversification, and identified potential solutions for deploying low carbon technology. Opportunities for economic diversification in the GCC agricultural sector were presented.
