On Monday, 7 December 2015, UN Water organized a panel discussion on the Pivotal role of water in climate change adaptation and mitigation. The event brought together representatives from national and local government with private sector and intergovernmental organizations to discuss the impacts of climate change on water. Panelists underscored that mitigation and adaptation actions may not be mutually exclusive, identifying the need for collaboration and increased investment and further expressed hope for the Paris outcomes.
