On Thursday, 10 December 2015 a side event organized by the Grantham Institute, Imperial College, London, Danish Society of Engineers, the Carbon Trust and the Global CCS Institute considered technology solutions for a 2 degree world and investments in renewables, storage, efficiency and carbon capture and storage. Strategies for facilitating mitigation technology deployment were outlined. Danish efforts towards achieving 100% renewable energy by 2050 were highlighted. The role of engineers in providing scientific data and developing national plans and strategies was presented.
