The Ministerial High level segment continues on Friday, 28 May. Delegates reflect on the meeting. The closing plenary is overshadowed by procedural wrangling and heated exchanges over voting on a draft resolution calling for UNEP to carry out environmental assessments in the Gaza Strip. Numerous tributes were paid to outgoing Executive Director, Achim Steiner for his sterling leadership and contribution. UNEA-2 proves to be a mixed bag.
