JORDAN:

The representative of Jordan, speaking on behalf of the Arab States, said that the problems of cities that grow too fast should not distract the work of this Conference from the fundamental problems in rural areas. He called the attention of the delegates to the problems faced by the Palestinian people in the occupied territories and he said that the Israeli occupation has put a brake to the natural development of these settlements.
