THE INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF WOMEN :

The representative of the ICW said that management is a key element to full participation in the decision-making process at all levels, but budgetary cuts are sometimes used as an excuse to avoid the direct involvement of men and women at the community level. She added that the themes adopted by the Commission on the Status of Women as priorities are equality, peace and development.
