Highlights for Friday, 6 June 2014
The final day of the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) Forum convened on Friday, 6 June 2014 at UN Headquarters in New York. Following opening statements from Kandeh Yumkella, Chief Executive Officer, SE4ALL, Martin Sajdik, Austria's Permanent Representative to the UN and President of ECOSOC, Felipe Calderón, former President of Mexico, and Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, President of Iceland, there was a high-level ministerial dialogue on energy in the post-2015 development agenda. Sixteen ministers, 33 government representatives, and 11 representatives of international organizations and NGOs addressed the Forum.

Many expressed strong support for the SE4ALL initiative, addressed the need for a Sustainable Development Goal on energy, and highlighted the role of sustainable energy in the post-2015 development agenda. Many looked forward to further action on renewable energy, energy efficiency and universal access to energy.

Kandeh Yumkella brought the Forum to a close at 1:46 pm.

Highlights for Thursday, 5 June 2014
The second day of the SE4ALL Forum convened on Thursday, 5 June 2014 at UN Headquarters in New York. The United Nations launched the UN Decade of Sustainable Energy for All 2014-2024, and announced the dedication of the first two years of the Decade to the "Energy-Women-Children-Health" nexus. The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) also launched REmap 2030, a renewable energy road map to double the share of renewable energy in the world's energy mix between 2010 and 2030. Panels and presentations addressed:

Highlights for Wednesday, 4 June 2014
The first Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) Forum opened on Wednesday morning, 4 June 2014. Following a brief opening plenary, the more than 700 participants attended 46 panel discussions with over 200 speakers throughout the day. The panels were divided into a series of sessions, which included:

*Growing the movement
*Catalyzing investment through innovative business models
*Sharing knowledge and experiences, developing capacity
*Accelerating country action

During the day there were also parallel multi-stakeholder sessions and the launch of the Renewables 2014 Global Status Report (REN21).
