Seventy-fourth Session of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Committee on Housing and Land Management and its Ministerial Meeting

UNECEThe Committee on Housing and Land Management of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) will hold its Seventy-fourth Session and its Ministerial Meeting from 7-9 October 2013 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.

On 7 October, the Committee will review its current and past activities, and hold thematic discussions on: energy efficiency in housing; and ageing and accessibility in cities. The aim of the Ministerial Meeting on 8 October is to provide a platform for high-level exchange on issues related to sustainable housing and urban development, land administration and management, spatial planning and real estate market stability in the region. It is expected to adopt the Strategy for Sustainable Housing and Land Management in the UNECE region for the period 2014-2020. On 9 October, the Committee will follow up on the outcomes of the Ministerial Meeting and will consider the future directions of the Committee’s work
