The 43rd session of the Committee on World Food Security is expected to address a series of items arising from its Multi-year Programme of Work, also considered by intersessional open-ended working groups and events, including on: nutrition; engagement with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); connecting smallholder farmers to markets; urbanization, rural transformation and implications for food security and nutrition; and monitoring.

A thematic event is expected to share experiences and take stock of the use and application of the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests in the Context of National Food Security.
