On Friday, delegates to the sixteenth meeting of the UN Open-ended Informal Consultative Process on Oceans and the Law of the Sea (Consultative Process or ICP-16) completed their work.

In the morning, delegations were given an opportunity to review the Co-Chairs’ summary of discussions. Plenary commenced at 11:45am with a page-by-page review of the report. Delegates discussed the draft and suggested corrections and clarifications to best capture the week's discussions.

In their closing statements, many delegations thanked the Co-Chairs, and in particularly Amb. Don MacKay who acted as Co-Chair for six meetings of the Consultative Process.

Co-Chair Amb. Meza-Cuadra declared the meeting closed at 1:03pm.
