CBD

The seventeenth meeting of the CBD Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA) opened on Monday, 14 October 2013, in Montreal, Canada. Delegates met in plenary throughout the day for: keynote addresses on mobilizing science in support of policies to achieve the Aichi Targets and on the Article 8(j) Working Group’s in-depth dialogue on integrating traditional knowledge; and panel discussions on biodiversity monitoring and on Strategic Goal A (addressing underlying causes of biodiversity loss through biodiversity mainstreaming).
