AWG-KP Closing Plenary
On Friday afternoon, the closing plenary of the AWG-KP convened. No conclusions were adopted, but the work done at the first part of AWG-KP 9 is reflected in non-papers that will be used as the basis for revised documentation for the second part ofw AWG-KP 9. In closing, Chair John Ashe (Antigua and Barbuda) emphasized that "a higher level of ambition remains central to our work" and told parties he would see them in "three short weeks" in Barcelona, urging parties to use the intersessional period to consult with one another so that real progress could be made at the second part of AWG-KP 9. He closed the meeting at 2:40 pm.

AWG-LCA Closing Plenary

On Friday afternoon, the first part of AWG-LCA 7 convened its closing plenary. Chair Zammit Cutajar explained that the results of the work by the six contact groups and six mitiation sub-groups in Bangkok will be taken forward to Barcelona in the form of several non-papers.
