On Saturday, 12 November 2016, the event “GCC and European Institutes Collaboration on Economic Diversification” took place at the Marrakech Climate Conference (COP22).

This video showcases collaborative initiatives that will help reduce the region’s economic dependence on oil and gas sectors. Demonstration projects highlight opportunities, barriers and solutions to scaling up investments in low-carbon technologies. Novel manufacturing processes and solar-based solutions for food security could transform the nature of work in future, diversified economies.
