SBI-16 convened its final session on Friday morning, and adopted conclusions on: national communication from Parties included in Annex I to the Convention; national communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention; review of the financial mechanism; implementation of Article 4, paragraphs 8 and 9, of the Convention; matters related to LDCs; capacity-building; arrangements for intergovernmental meetings; administrative and financial matters; and other matters (implementation of Article 2, paragraph 3, of the Kyoto Protocol, and matters referred to the SBI by SBSTA). SBSTA met briefly in an afternoon session to adopt conclusions on cooperation with relevant international organizations and the Third Assessment Report of the IPCC. The final SBSTA session adjourned at 2:40 pm.
