The Ordinary and Extraordinary Meetings of the COPs to the Basel Convention (BC), Rotterdam Convention (RC) and Stockholm Convention (SC) convened for an eighth day on Monday, 6 May 2013. Delegates met throughout the day in plenary, considering issues under BC COP11.
During the morning, BC COP11 “virtually” adopted decisions on:
Partnership for Action on Computing Equipment (PACE); technical guidelines for environmentally-sound management of mercury wastes; resource mobilization and sustainable financing; and the process for evaluating the performance and sustainability of BC regional and coordinating centres.
During the afternoon, plenary reconvened briefly, "virtually" adopting a decision on cooperation with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and adopting the report of the meeting. Participants agreed to reconvene BC COP11 on Tuesday, 7 May, to consider outstanding matters.
