Highlights for Friday, November 13 2009

On Friday, the forty-fifth session of the International Tropical Timber Council (ITTC) held its last full day of discussions in Yokohama, Japan. In the morning, the Committees on Reforestation and Forest Management, Economic Information and Market Intelligence met to conclude their deliberations and endorse their reports for submission to the Council. The Committee on Finance and Administration met briefly in the morning and evening to continue discussions on the Working Capital Account.

The expert panel for technical appraisal of project proposals met in the afternoon, as did the open-ended group drafting decisions and the Panel on Sub-Account B of the Bali Partnership Fund. In the evening, the Committee on Finance and Administration reconvened to endorse their reports for submission to the Council.
