Delegates to the 58th session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change continued to work toward approval of the Summary for Policymakers of the synthesis report for the Sixth Assessment cycle on Tuesday. Delegates held discussions in plenary, a contact group, and informal huddles as they sought to reach consensus on which elements of the Sixth Assessment Report are most critical for inclusion in the Summary for Policymakers.
With only a few days remaining in the meeting and substantial text yet to be opened, delegates worked late into the night, including in an evening plenary session. The IPCC will continue its work on Wednesday.
